Alphaboardz

Got the chance to put my Alphaboardz to work this weekend finally, and absolutely love them. In less than 20 seconds I can change them up from right to left and drag back down the ledge I just went over. No matter the speed I pulled them, they stayed right in place! Can't thank you enough for such an easy to use planer board!

Thomas from Team Drop Off wants to say that we are excited to announce that since October 2023, we have been using Alphaboardz. We have undergone extensive testing with heavy baits in rough waters and under difficult wind conditions. They have consistently demonstrated excellent tracking abilities in the water, whether we were moving against the wind or with it, at various speeds, and with different rod tip positions. For catfish dragging, we employ Locking clips, which enable us to escape snags without activating the clip. A simple flick of the wrist can fold the board arm, offering unimpeded action during a battle with a big fish. The folding arm design also means we can position a board on either side of the boat, as well saving more space than any other board we've encountered on the market. The foam construction is impressively durable and robust. I wholeheartedly endorse these boards for all your dragging and pulling needs!

I was introduced to the Alphaboardz by Jeremey Gregg and Alyssa Raye Pesek with Outdoor Wicked Adventures and I really had my doubts about them with the low profile and moveable arm to change from side to side. Jeremey and Alyssa brought a set to Beaver Lake to get out on the water with me here at Two Rivers Edge, and it didn’t take long to see these boards work better than any others I’ve used to date. The low profile helps to cut through the water better and not get caught up in the winds. Other boards get caught in the winds and push sideways, the Alpha Boards stay right on track and help us to catch some big Striper. We have since ordered the Alphaboardz for our boat and will be ordering more in the future.

I was first introduced to AlphaBoardz by watching a YouTube video showing the boards being tested out. I have used many planer board types in many decades of fishing, also as a licensed guide and charter Captain. I contacted AlphaBoardz and ordered a few sets to put them through my own set of tests on the water. I was immediately impressed with the durability of the build, coming right out of the box. I have had other boards that are not made of the same high-quality foam, crack after just storing them in boat compartments. I have run these boards at 3mph pulling lures for Trout and Striper on my local lakes and Delta rivers. I use planer reels for some purposes, and direct to the line for other presentations. I have put these boards through their paces for several months now, and I can say without a doubt, best planer boards ever made. They have the ability to be used on either side, so I can run several off of on side of the boat and then switch them as needed. These are one of my favorite fishing tools now on my boats and will be telling everyone I know about them.

My first impression of the AlphaBoardz was “WOW” these are super nice! I’ve always anchor fished, but knew I needed to expand my knowledge of fishing tactics. After my first time pulling these AlphaBoardz on Kerr Lake and catching several catfish over 30 lbs with my biggest being 55 lbs, I knew immediately I made the right choice! These planer boards have been a very valuable tool that’s helped me land bigger and better fish! I highly recommend to everybody! 5 STARS!

I absolutely love my AlphaBoardz!! The foldable arm is excellent for when you are storing the boards because they take up way less space than a regular planner board. Also the fact that I can use them on either side of the boat or bank depending on how I’m fishing with just a quick flip of the arm. They are very durable. I have thrown them in the boat stepped on them and actually dropped a cooler full of bait on them and it didn’t hurt them at all. Definitely a 10 out of 10 on recommending them to anyone.

Alphaboardz are definitely a game changer for the entire fishing industry, I did not want to get into planer boards because of the money and all I’d have to put into it and hassle involved. But I really think for someone like me, that has never used one, this is an amazing option. I am not scared to use them anymore, especially seeing how easy it is to switch them from one side to another and how durable they are. Durability is important to me because of how rough I am with my equipment. I wouldn’t be afraid to throw them around, and they have showed their strength for sure. I also love the fact that the color stands out against the water, the visibility is great, not to mention how well they glide through the water. Overall the product is 100% worth it and should be invested within the fishing community, especially for those who are just starting out with planer boards.
